Desi Perkins, a pioneering influencer, first gained fame on YouTube with a viral makeup video. In 2020, she launched Dezi, a sunglasses line, and a year later, Dezi Skin, starting with a vitamin C serum named Claro Que C. This product boasts “Dezi youth juice,” featuring a mix of Mexican-sourced extracts like Mexican plum, acai, and more.
In 2025, Perkins achieved a significant milestone by launching Dezi Skin at Sephora, initially online. She emphasized the importance of growing the brand independently before partnering with Sephora, ensuring readiness for such a major retail demand.
At launch, Sephora will feature five key Dezi Skin products, including popular items like the Skin So Balm Cleansing Balm and Claro Que C Vitamin C Serum. Perkins is committed to quality, taking time to perfect each product, which Daniel Kiyoi of Magic Dusk praises as a strategy for long-term success.
Dezi Skin’s marketing leverages Perkins’s extensive social media following and will feature an event for creators and customers. The brand’s entry into Sephora, amidst a challenging economic climate for beauty brands, adds Perkins to a group of Latinx founders at the retailer.
