Megalabs USA Purchases Geologie to Improve Skin Care Products
Pharmaceutical company Megalabs USA has acquired Geologie, a brand specializing in skin, hair, and body care products. This acquisition follows Megalabs’s prior majority investment in DS Laboratories, a brand known for its hair growth products. Although the financial details of the Geologie deal were not disclosed, it was announced that Geologie’s co-founders, Dave Skaff and Nick Allen, would be stepping down.
Geologie, founded in 2018 with dermatologist Dr. Steve Xu, caters primarily to a male demographic with popular products like the Retinol Night Cream, Natural Deodorant, and Tone Control Face Cream. Recently, the brand expanded its market with the Clear System acne care line, now available in over 900 Target stores.
Fabian Rivero, CEO of Megalabs USA, expressed excitement about the acquisition, highlighting how it aligns with Megalabs’s strategy to lead in dermatology by offering scientifically advanced skin and hair care solutions that include innovative acne treatments. Co-founder Nick Allen remarked on the acquisition as a pivotal moment, emphasizing Megalabs as the perfect partner for Geologie’s growth.
Megalabs operates in more than 20 countries, boasting a portfolio of 1,800 products, along with 18 manufacturing facilities and seven research and development centers.
