Estée Lauder Companies Inc. Announces Publication of La Mer Skin Care Study in Peer-Reviewed Journal
The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC), in collaboration with La Mer, has published new research in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology on La Mer’s Macrocystis pyrifera ferment containing serum (MPF-Serum). The study, led by Dr. Uma Santhanam, Dr. Claude Saliou, and Dr. Jaime Emmetsberger, showcases the serum’s ability to enhance skin barrier integrity and accelerate recovery following dermatological procedures. Conducted over multiple clinical trials with women aged 31 to 65, the serum proved more effective than standard moisturizers in post-procedure recovery after procedures like 70% glycolic acid peels and non-ablative laser treatments. ELC’s commitment to science is reflected in their dedication to advancing women in STEM, with women leading all R&D and innovation labs globally.
La Mer’s Max Huber Research Labs draws on over five decades of expertise and founder Dr. Max Huber’s pioneering work in fermentation and skin healing, particularly through the development of Miracle Broth™. Founded by Dr. Huber after a lab accident, the labs continue to explore new ways to enhance and deliver the benefits of Miracle Broth™ through La Mer’s proprietary bio-fermentation process.
The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is a global leader in skincare, makeup, fragrance, and hair care, renowned for its luxury and prestige brands, available in about 150 countries.
