A Soothing Agent for Retinol Irritation

Reflecting these trends, ACTIVON is set to launch A-SoothingUp RB in 2025, an anti-irritation ingredient designed to counteract the irritation caused by retinol. This product is derived from upcycled rambutan peels, a byproduct of the food industry, using the eco-friendly NADES extraction method. This method enhances solubility and extracts bioactive compounds efficiently while being environmentally sustainable.

A-SoothingUp RB aims to reduce retinol-induced skin irritation and redness, while also offering soothing effects for sensitive skin and scalp. At the in-cosmetics global event in Amsterdam in 2025, ACTIVON will present this innovation and host a technical seminar discussing the eco-friendly process behind the ingredient. The event will also showcase the company’s commitment to green and bio technology, offering attendees a chance to experience their products firsthand.
