Ali Majrashi, defender of the Saudi national team, emphasized the importance of entering the 2025 Gold Cup with a high mentality and full focus, considering it a crucial station on the path to qualifying for the Asian qualifiers for the next World Cup.

Majrashi confirmed in statements prior to the final training session before facing Haiti that the players understand the importance of delivering a performance worthy of the national team’s name, pointing out that the tournament represents an opportunity to prove themselves and reach as far as possible.

He added: “We are facing a new challenge, and we must take advantage of this participation to strengthen the confidence within the group. We consider it an important preliminary step before the October playoff, where we aim to secure a World Cup qualification spot.”

For his part, Ahmed Al-Qassar, goalkeeper of the “Green”, explained that the team has closed the chapter on the qualifiers and is currently focused on delivering a level that befits Saudi Arabia in its first appearance in the continental tournament, emphasizing the importance of discipline and seriousness in performance.

Al-Qassar pointed out that the physical nature of football in North and South America requires special readiness, confirming that facing Haiti requires the utmost levels of focus and discipline, despite the lesser-known status of the opponent on the international stage.
