e.l.f. Beauty Acquires Hailey Bieber’s Rhode Skincare Line for $1 Billion

Hailey Rhode Bieber’s Rhode lifestyle brand has been acquired by e.l.f. Beauty for up to $1 billion. The deal includes $800 million in cash and stock, with an additional $200 million earnout based on Rhode’s growth. Founded in 2022, Rhode focuses on makeup and skincare, achieving $212 million in revenue in under three years. The brand, known for its direct-to-consumer strategy, plans to expand physically through a partnership with Sephora. The acquisition is strategic for e.l.f. Beauty, diversifying its portfolio and enhancing its presence in the prestige market. Bieber will continue as founder and serve as Rhode’s chief creative officer.
