L’Oréal to Purchase Medik8 Skin Care Brand

L’Oréal has acquired a majority stake in the premium skincare brand Medik8. This move strengthens L’Oréal’s Luxe portfolio by adding a science-backed brand with a strong potential for global growth. Medik8’s founder, Eliot Isaacs, will remain on the board, and its management team will stay in place. Inflexion, a private equity firm, will retain a minority stake. The acquisition highlights L’Oréal’s commitment to expanding in the prestige skincare market, leveraging Medik8’s in-house developed products and its innovative CSA Philosophy. Financial details are undisclosed, but the deal is valued at approximately 1 billion euros.
