Mikayla Nogueira Aspires to Establish a Lasting Brand with “Point of View”
Mikayla Nogueira, a prominent beauty influencer known for her thick Boston accent and glam makeup style, announced the launch of her own beauty brand, Point of View, set to be available on March 26. The brand, whose Instagram page has already gained over 81,000 followers, will debut with five products designed to prep and prime the skin for makeup application. These include hydrating and glow-promoting serums, a moisturizer, a gripping primer, and a lip treatment.
Point of View is backed by Imaginary Ventures, a venture capital firm known for investing in successful brands like Skims and Glossier. Despite initial fears about entering the saturated beauty market, Nogueira aims to establish Point of View as a legacy brand, rather than just another influencer brand. She is partnering with Ani Hadjinian, a seasoned beauty executive, to achieve this goal.
The brand emphasizes quality and effective formulations, with products designed to work synergistically without causing common issues like pilling. Nogueira and Hadjinian sought inspiration from Korea, known for its advanced skincare technology, to develop products with innovative textures and key ingredients like fermented rice water.
To engage her community, Nogueira plans to involve her audience through social media challenges and contests, aiming to make them feel part of the brand’s journey. She will also produce “edutainment” content to educate potential customers about the brand and its offerings. Point of View will be launched via direct-to-consumer channels and TikTok Shop. Nogueira’s vision is to create a brand that resonates deeply with consumers and leaves a lasting impact.
