Seen introduces scalp-friendly hair products to Ulta Beauty locations across the country.



Seen, the dermatologist-developed hair and skin brand founded by Dr. Iris Rubin, is expanding its presence in retail by partnering with Ulta Beauty. Initially launched in 2023, Seen products were available in over 700 Ulta stores and, as of April 6, have expanded to more than 1,400 locations.

Dr. Rubin, who previously served as the medical director of the Dermatologic and Vascular Laser Surgery Program at Children’s National Medical Center, created Seen to address the overlooked connection between hair care and skin health. She noticed that hair products were often causing skin issues like breakouts, leading her to develop “skin-safe hair care” products.

Seen’s products are marketed as being safe for the skin, featuring formulations that are non-comedogenic, non-irritating, and free from common irritants and harsh ingredients such as silicones and sulfates. The brand’s approach emphasizes the impact hair products can have on the skin, from the scalp to the face and body, and aims to provide solutions that consider both hair and skin health.
