Mediacorp’s Star Awards is happening on Jul. 6.
Big 30
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, this year’s awards theme is “Walking Through Time Together”.
The Star Awards in 2025 will see all 30 All-Time Favourite Artistes on stage, including newly-inducted members Pornsak and Yvonne Lim.
This year will also see the return of the Post-Show Party.
The last time Star Awards had a Post-Show Party was in 2019.
Viewers can also expect an interactive Walk of Fame, where those watching can join interactive polls and vote for the best-dressed celebrities on the red carpet.
Eligibility
There are also some changes to the eligibility criteria for the Top 10 Most Popular Male and Female Artistes.
Artistes who are nominees for any Performance Award will automatically qualify to run for the Popularity Award in the same year.
Artistes can also qualify by maintaining a “meaningful presence across Mediacorp platforms”.
In short, here are the eligibility criteria:
- Lead or main host a series with at least two episodes; or
- Accumulate at least 13 episodes in a combination of roles; or
- Nominated for a performance award (automatic qualification)
A total of 122 artistes are in the running for the Popular Male and Female Artistes awards.
Voting opens till Jul. 6.
