Is L’Oréal Planning to Buy Medik8 Skin Care Brand?

L’Oréal is reportedly the front-runner in acquiring Medik8, a U.K.-based skincare brand known for its presence in the dermocosmetics category. Although representatives from both companies declined to comment, it’s understood that L’Oréal is likely to proceed with the acquisition. Medik8 has been exploring its future growth options since early 2023, and its global revenues are projected to reach around $115 million by 2025, marking a significant increase in sales.

Medik8, founded in 2009 by Elliot Isaacs, has gained popularity with products like its Liquid Peptides Advanced MP serum and Crystal Retinal Serum, which are driving growth in the U.S. market. With over 300 employees, the company sells its products in more than 7,000 clinics.

If acquired, Medik8 would complement L’Oréal’s Dermatological Beauty Division, which includes brands like La Roche-Posay and CeraVe.
